Hard water deposits

I know this doesn't sound very exciting but I've finally found something that works to get rid of hard water deposits on glass!! These two products work!!
I just had to follow up to see if the doors are not streaky and still are free from hard water deposits! Guess the water just runs off the doors! Super!! Now off to place an order!!

Steve and I went up to the Lake (Sauk) yesterday. We meet with the electrical guy and figured out where to put the line and get power. We will just go up the side of the driveway where all the trees have been cleared to bring power up to the future cabin and beach area.

There was still ice on the beach, but the ice was out on the lake. We have a small amount of beach repairs todo, with a little of sand to fill in and some of the rocks to re-stack on the new beach area. Everything else held fine. I still don't know if the solar lights held up, won't know until we are up at night. I'll bring more lights to add more and replace any that are broken.

We will need to paint a clear coat on the picnic table too.

We mapped out a cabin location 100 ft back from the shoreline. 36 x 36 ft. There is a area of trees that will  need to be cut down, but they are on the small size, so not too bad to remove and the neighbor down the road wants to take all the wood! Easy to remove and be done! We will also start this project after electrical is done.
Celina got her hair cut by her friend while we were gone. Turned out so pretty!

More pictures from our trip to the lake. Here's the Sauk river, below the dam.

We have never driven down to this park in town.

Ice on the beach. A little is still sticking around!

We also finally tried the Mexican restaurant in town. Soooo good! We will defiantly be going back there to eat!

We are hitting the road again on Sunday to Duluth for a night up there. I want to check out the spring gushing waterfalls and stop in at some breweries, do a little gambling at Black Bear Casino and then head home. We won't be camping, staying in a hotel for the night, so not as much of an adventure this trip! Funny how we got some comments from friends thinking what can't we afford to stay in hotels when traveling? That was not the point of our trip. It was an adventure. Staying in a hotel is boring! There is a time and place for both and I like to be able to do both!

Ozarks, car camping tenting and 6 days of adventure

Where do I start on our trip to Missouri, Lake of the Ozarks! We followed warm 80*F weather down south. Left at 5am Thursday in the thick fog. The fog finally cleared when we got to Missouri! It was so foggy that we didn't see anything till we crossed the boarder!

Glad we left early in the morning because it was a 9 hour drive that didn't seem very long.

Our first Hipcamp of the trip. A cow pasture. Such soft grass and at least 40 acres of land to roam. We tried car camping for the first time ever and it was a success!
A few dried up cow pies.

Car camping... so easy and comfortable. Plus, quiet. No need to listen all night for unknown noises, animals etc in a new unfamiliar area.
Rolling hills...

We took a walk around the property. There was two man-made ponds stocked with fish. We could have fished!

We made breakfast the next morning and then packed up for our next location at the Lake of the Ozark state park.
Leaving the property. We had it all to ourselves. Could set up camp anywhere and have a fire anywhere too.

We had some BBQ for lunch.
Very cute BBQ place in a small town

The best raspberry Ooey gooey butter cake!

Delicious!!

I need to make this butter cake bars and add raspberries!!
Trees were in bloom, flowers and green!!!

Part of lake of the Ozark in the state park

Lake Ozark State park, being off season it was still pretty full of campers.

Our tenting site at the state park for two nights. Didn't like all the campers around us. Just too noisy!!

The water was really low behind our camp site in the state park.

It was dry enough to be able to walk out there next to the river and explore.

Racoon out, saw during our walk in the woods in the state park

Hike through the woods

Main lake Ozark at a restaurant.

Warm, but windy!

We stayed at horse camp. Followed the river and collected rocks.

Cows next to our camp spot.

Lots of old building left to rot.
