17-18" of snow!!

We got all our snow all at once last night! Steve measured 18"! The kids and I went out to shovel the driveway around 8pm and at that time we had at least 9" and it was snowing so hard we had another 2" on top of that to shovel off!

It's always fun to shovel the first snow of the year! We were all happy to get out there and do some of the snow clearing.

It was just a lot of it!

Steve took over snow blowing the rest of the snow off the driveway. I'm guessing it was about the same we shoveled. The end of our driveway is where our street curves in, so we get the most amount of snow at the bottom of the driveway from the street plow. Steve said it was up to the top of his chest! Wow, just wow!!

Zoey is loving all the fresh snow to run around in.

Last night when the snow was coming down an inch or more an hour!

We painted the kitchen/dinning room (old family room) the same color as our entry and its a close match to our 4 season porch color. We went from a blue-gray to a brown-gray and it flows through the house so much better. New color above and old color below!

You find out how dusty and how many hidden cob webs there are, once you start painting! Yikes!! We didn't like the lighter Gray-beige color I had purchased. It was far too light, so it was great we had a full gallon of the same entry way paint to use instead. I'll use the beige gray for the basement since it will keep it light and bright down there. Its yellow right now and that has to go! That painting will be for another time!

This is our next project, to tile behind the stove and make a spice/oil shelf out of tile. Like a shampoo shelf in a shower. I'm hoping Steve wants to start working on this today or next week on Tuesday! Fingers crossed it's not difficult with wires in the way or something else! We don't want to make this little project more challenging!
