March 1st!!

It's Finally March. We are now past the coldest 2 months, January and February which this year they were not even cold and we had very little snow to none. March we always say is the snowiest month, but it's looking like again another month of above normal temps and fingers crossed no snow!! I could actually set up the tent this weekend, lol.. It's going to be in the 60's during the day and might reach 70 on Sunday with a little bit of a cool down to the upper 40's before going back to 50 and then down again. Another roller coaster of temps, but not that extreme!! I'll take it!

Celina sent me photos from their trip to Sedona AZ, horse back riding.

I've never been to that part of Arizona. Looks super pretty!! What a fun idea to horseback ride!

I picked up a new client yesterday morning and ended up working for them that afternoon. I had the day off anyway and figured I might as well earn some money since they needed help asap! Otherwise, it would have been a 2 week wait.

I have another busy work day today/Friday with a new house/client too. Nice!! I should be done by 1pm, so not a long day like yesterday when I started late and ended around 3:30pm. I got nothing much done around the house, but did clear out the office more of Steve's work stuff. I moved his painting stuff to the basement storage area and re-arranged in there a bit. I also cleaned some of the window sill tracks out. Plus, washed the kids bath towels, and my comforter. I suppose that counts as home projects even if they aren't on my spreadsheet todo list.

I need to sand the walls where Steve put mud to fix some holes and imperfections on the stairs to the basement. I have to figure out if the paint is still good to do the touch ups. I'll get the roller out to do that painting since I have a big area under the upstairs nook to paint also that Steve never painted.

We are waiting to purchase trim for the rest of the house until Steve picks up more jobs. He is getting a bit worried about work. This is the only time in the last 20+ years he has not been booked out. I think most people got hit with taxes this year and a lot did remodels during covid and now want to spend extra money on travel. Spring always picks up with Jan/Feb slow months, so let's hope that's the case this year. He is getting estimates and has some jobs lined up for summer, but needs more this coming month. I'm hoping we hear back asap from a customer that booked the end of Feb/first of March! Plus, waiting to hear if another client schedules a deck update. We'll be doing more advertising, so hopefully, I'll pick up more clients too along the way which also helps.

Other then working today, I have zero other plans. I woke up with a headache and it's still lingering even though I took Advil and had coffee. I hope that doesn't mean I'm getting sick! YIKES!! I'll probably work on picking my 6 photos for our wall. I need to print 6 -8x10 in B&W.
