I thought I would be printing all black and white photos for my wall to replace some achievement certificates that are years old.. going back to 2013 or older. Turns out, I just liked the original full color photos and quite a few of them at that. I only need 6, 8 x 10 photos, but I think I had at least 12 printed. This will give me choices to switch out with the season, since some are winter, fall and summer photos.
Here are my choices... I did some cropping, which is not done on these photos. I sure hope I like them up on the wall. It cost around $50 to have them printed. More than I was planning on spending.
I did zero other home projects yesterday. I started work at 11am and worked till 2:30/3pm then came home. Celina showed me all her trip photos, so I just never got around to anything else. Which is fine. I don't have to do something every day!
I do need to purchase paint and re-do those upstairs walls. I'll do that after work today and stop at Costco to pick up veggies to make my Chicken Thai soup.
Steve also has to help with the one porch light that is messed up! We broke the glass because the inside ring is stuck and the middle piece is spinning. He needs some tool to hold it in place. We purchase a new clear light cover, so it's ready to be fixed. I also have to clean the last 2 light in the porch and that project is 100% complete.
I found other projects that need to be added to my todo list. Our siding upstairs over the 4 season porch trim needs wider trim to cover what was cut to install our porch. You can only see it from the upstairs spare room. Ugh!! Steve also needs to get a few shingles for the roof top/a flat spot. What else? Front door wasp nest has to be power washed and the light bulb above the front door screwed in. Easy fixes.
Seems it's easy to add to the list, but slow going on checking them off as 100% done. At least I'm making progress little by little with doing more every day. We have lots of projects we can finish before needing to spend more money. We just need to do those first!
I might have gotten Steve another smaller job from a client of mine. It's just to fix some house trim, but its a few hundred dollars. I'll do more advertising today. We can always expect to get a few calls off my efforts. It's that time of year when people are wanting to do spring home projects. Let's hope it pick up now that it's March 5th! I've picked up at least 5 new clients from my efforts. I just need a few more to fill up my every other week schedule.
On the top of my mind right now is getting Steve more jobs and finishing our home projects incase we are forced to do option 2, which really is a better option then just doing nothing. Option 2, is selling our current house and building. The land we really love is still for sale. It's not the cheapest land option but up there, but not past our budget amount. We still have a budget amount for building materials and to pay Steve an income to build. Plus, have funds left over for the cabin build and to pay him for that too. It's risky as he needs to do all the building, with the exception of foundation/Cement pour and the septic plan. Everything else is up to us. I can help mud, sand, paint and clean up. Project track and materials purchased , but that's about all I can do on my part.
