Monday!!

Back to colder temps this week, an almost 30 degree temp drop from yesterday. At least it's not super windy!! All my chairs were knocked over this morning and we had a few big branches down in the front yard. I set up the front chairs, but have yet to do the back yard. I purchased the spray paint to touch up my plant pots and the foot stool, but due to the wind yesterday, none of that got done. I have to wait until the temps are at least 50 degrees which means next week to spray them.

I got paint only to realize the upgraded paint base does not match the existing paint on the walls. Ugh!!! Spent $24 dollars for nothing and touched up the walls.. Now I have to go get the correct paint with the right base today and re-touch up all the spots again! We can at least use the oops paint for the spare room. I wanted to paint over the yellow walls anyway. Guess we figured out what color, same as the hallway, which I like and its neutral.

Celina sent more photos of AZ. I've never been to this place before. She had camera setting tips on how to make the photos more realistic looking. Amazing how red the rocks are!

We purchase a new propane carry along grill to use while camping this summer only to find out last night that it's not working correctly. It had a fire coming out the bottom near the control panels. I think Steve might be able to fix it. We noticed that the gas lines don't line up.  They are just hard to get at and we shouldn't have to rig it up to use this. I filled out a warrantee on line and should hear back within a few days. We will see if they replace it?? We did get it for $50 instead of $150 since it was last years model/clearance before the new ones hit the shelves. Bummer, because we had planned to cook dinner on it last night.

Steve ran around the yard yesterday with Zoey while I hammock in the back yard. First time ever in early March! Usually, there is lots of snow or it's super wet back there.

The back of the house is looking pretty good now that it's all power washed. I'll need to wash the porch windows or Steve will with a ladder. We need to save that for another warm day.

Today, Celina and Don come home around 11am. I won't be able to go to the airport. I'm actually working starting at 11am today and will work till around 2:30/3pm. Ugh!! Go figure!! I should do some advertising this morning before work. We will see?? Otherwise, it can be saved for tomorrow. I did some advertising on Nextdoor neighbor app. Figure it can't hurt as other also see that and might call for services Steve and I supply. Any bit of free advertising is a plus!!

I'll most likely pick up more paint and then finish up the painting touch ups today. Got to keep moving on some home projects. We really don't have many more to do or that will take very long to finish. Most we have all the materials. It's just trim we need to purchase and of course tile if we plan to re-do the master bathroom which is the most expensive home fix it project left. We could also use a new oven/gas stove. We keep looking and did find a few that are around $900. Just don't want to charge the purchase as we want to pay cash. Just want to do it when Steve has more jobs lined up! He did pick up a job for May, plus can paint his parents house. There are also a few little jobs he has booked and then we are waiting to hear back on a deck, although the longer that goes the less likely?? Which brings us back to needing to do more advertising with flyers. He did get another call over the weekend for potential work. So people are calling, just need more calling and work to be done! Otherwise we go with option 2, build a house/cabin and then do it again in two more years so he can work for himself and not have to get jobs. Plus, all would be paid off 100%, which is a better financial move, but not the easy route. A bigger risk, but an exciting one at that. So we shall see. I think that property we liked is probably sold. It's fine, not like they can wait for us to make a decision or be forced into one. There are plenty of lots, maybe not as perfect, but good enough!
