I should have taken a before and after photo of the back of our house. It was pretty dirty on the off white siding with all the cotton and dirt stuck to it. I was power washing and then it kept tripping the power switch, so I just go out the hose high pressure sprayer and it worked better! I had to use a soft brush to get more of the dirt off and could only reach up so far. We still have the 2nd story of the house to actually wash with the brush and behind the garage. I will finish either this afternoon or wait till another warm day. At least most of the house is all looking good!
We again went to Home Depot for paint and then Menards for trim and some brackets to hang up some closet racks in the spare room. This will finish up some misc projects on my todo list. I already painted the wall touchups and now just waiting for it to dry to see if it needs another coat of paint. Steve picked up two pieces of trim to finish up the upstairs nook. Of course the mud is at a customer house, which he will finish up by this week. Once home, he might have some down time before we find more work for him. This will give him time to clean up the spare room, put in the closet shelves and do the little misc projects around the house, minus spending a lot on the trim we need. We will just use up what supplies we have and do projects we can finish without spending more on them.
We also agreed to paint the garage walls. We have the paint, so no need to purchase more. I'll just have to help move stuff around to have Steve do the actual painting. It will look sooo clean after we are done.
I painted the garage door bottom/garage door trim and around the front door trim. Looks all nice and cleaned up. I would like to replace the wood trim with plastic/Maintenance free, but that's for another day!
I also cleaned up the leaves under the deck in the mulch. Still need to get the paint off the deck. Which Steve can also do. We just need to rent a sander or get more sand paper for the sander I had purchased. It shouldn't take that long to do since I have scraped off most of the old paint.
We really only have the expense of purchasing more trim to do the finishing touches in the basement with a little on the main level quarter round. The master bathroom tile also to re-do the shower and floor will take around $1000 to finish up I'm guessing?? I did finally pick out tile I like for the floor and walls.
