It's madness 67*F on March 11th!! Loving this winter with the record warmth!! I know we shouldn't be celebrating that, but it was a very nice winter for MN!!
Here's the progress on our mud room.
It's not 100% done. We have to put another coat of enamel on the wood and do some caulking. I'm still deciding if we should put up 6 white cubbies for hat/mitten storage above? I kind of like how it looks as is. We could use the storage! But maybe they belong in the hall closet instead! I just need to have an added shelf installed and then re-organize. Maybe that's the better solution??
The process photos. Had to make a mess before it looks good. We started at 10am and ended around 4pm. I re-painted all the walls, which added to the project.
Glad it's mostly done, but now I don't really want to hang up coats! I like the clean look.
The finished look. Steve thinks we didn't need 32 hooks, but this was the inspiration wall. So I stuck with the same concept. We don't have to hang up 32 jackets!
I'll probably get some shoe plastic trays for easy clean up and moving of the shoes. We do have a bench, but Zoey sits in the office window on the bench and I wouldn't move it now. She would be sad if there wasn't a place she could watch out the window.
I have the day off, but need to run some errands, Get my tires rotated, oil changed and I think that was it. I want to e-bike and hammock in the back yard this afternoon.
I need to order some solar glasses for our trip. Plus call to see who will take our tree branches as the place we normally go to is closed with no opening date. Only $18 per pick up truck load of branches. That's a deal the other place was $15, but this is 1 to 3 yards, so they take more for almost the same price. I'm guessing this would be a good today project!
Still no delivery on our Coleman grill replacement. Although they did say 7 to 10 business days which does not include the weekend. Maybe by the end of the week?
I don't have a very busy work schedule this week. I have off Friday and we are going to Milwaukee to pick up Logan. His 2 good friends came to visit and they all went to Chicago for the day. Went to China town and had some good food. Good thing I deposited $100 into his account! He at least had some fun money to spend. Sounds like they had a good time. Chicago is only 45 minutes away, so not far away for a fun mini trip! His friends hadn't been there in a long time, so since we just went last summer he was able to show them around and do the fun stuff.
