I have never been to Door County Wisconsin. Steve was there back when he was 15 years old. He didn't remember much but didn't think there was a whole lot to see, just a bunch of small towns along the lake point.
We camped at one of the state parks. I just picked between two places and stayed at Potawatomi. I think next time the Pensula park would be better!
The campsites are not private at all. We could watch everyone on all sides of us. Lucky for us, it was not a busy time of the year. So not too many neighbors! We did get set up our tent at the same time as the neighbors. They actually started just a little before us. They had a small two person pole tent. We took out our huge dark instant tent, and it was up before they could put in all their poles. We actually ran into them in town and they recognized us and said they were jealous of our tent how quick it was up. Yep, that was fun!! lol..
After we set up the tent, we drove to town and had a few beers at the brewery along the lake and pizza for dinner.
We turned our tent to face away from the road and to look at the hill behind us. A much better wake up view then a bunch of campers!

Swimming beach on Lake Michigan. The water is too blue, clear and clean with white soft sand in most areas.
I saw this rock sculpture on the beach and had to stop to get a photos. It was small but I got down on all 4s to make it appear larger.
